UF Health Shands Hospital needed a way in which to track data center assets, specifically identifying the exact location of every server, UPS, and device, across multiple data centers – three of which were new. Additionally, the IT team wanted to improve the energy efficiency within the data centers. Working together with Sunbird, Shands has moved from an inflexible tracking method of Excel spreadsheets and Visio floor plans to Sunbird’s dcTrack DCIM solution, and now enjoys a 50% increase in asset tracking efficiency.
