Release 5.1 expands dcTrack's centralized, single-pane-of-glass view of data center assets and their associated power and data connections with enhancements that accelerate and simplify data center operations for more effective resource planning and decision making.

Enhancements in dcTrack 5.1
Release 5.1 features a new 3D Visualizer that enables users to orbit a data center for a bird's-eye view of all equipment as well as a zoomed-in focus on the assets within each cabinet from a standard browser, without any additional software. Users also can leverage 3D enhanced reporting on real-time environment and power data as well as capacity reports on space and weight for more precise planning and change management. With trends toward densely packed racks and converged infrastructure, customers are looking to more accurately determine the weight of their cabinets to bill back users for additional space occupied.
 
The Models Library, Sunbird's extensive repository of over 30,000 Smart Models across over 450 manufacturers, has been redesigned in the web interface to help users access and manage model information through faster and more granular search. Users can view all available models through a user-friendly grid interface that allows users to search and filter information across make, model, version, and virtually any other attribute stored. Updating the Models Library is easier than ever with the Update Wizard, which takes users step-by-step through the streamlined update process.
 
Further improvements in dcTrack 5.1 include import and export of data panel ports and structured cabling, support for IPv6 asset configuration, additional real time data integration with Power IQ® DCIM Monitoring, and updates to address customer reported issues and security fixes.
